Hail the Trail participants will positively impact the environment and give back to the W&OD Trail by helping our beneficiary, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, to beautify the trail.
Hail the Trail will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Participation in Hail the Trail is free and participants will receive a free Trail Mix t-shirt for their contribution to the W&OD Trail!
This collective action will result in the largest cleanup effort in the trail’s history and will garner strong charitable, community and civic benefits for the residents and businesses of the area. Groups of participants are welcome, as well as individuals looking to give back to the community.
Participants will have the option of working at various locations along the trail where they will help to weed, plant, maintain kiosks, pick up trash and more.
